Get to Know the Designer
My name is Victoria Barton, and I am passionate about graphic design. I have dedicated myself to creating visually appealing and impactful designs for over five years. I am a member of Cedar Crest Independent Baptist Church in Mount Union, Pa. I have a bachelor's degree in graphic design and a photography minor.
During my schooling, I had the opportunity to work at two different internships, one including The Sword of the Lord. I loved it and thank God for the experience and the wonderful things I learned there.
My focus lies in providing design solutions for Independent Baptist Churches. I have observed a need for better design foundations within our churches, especially when it comes to effectively designing flyers, handouts, banners, church signs, social media graphics, and more.
As a designer, I believe in honoring God through my work by creating designs that reflect His excellence. Just as God carefully crafted the world with beauty and depth, I strive to bring that same level of quality and purpose to every project I undertake. I am committed to guiding people toward the intended message of salvation in Jesus Christ.

Why do you need a Designer?
In today’s competitive world, ministries need to stand out and make a lasting impact on their communities. Despite some churches believing that design is not crucial, it is essential to understand that beauty is captivating and that graphic design can enhance visual appeal to attract the desired audience.
In Church graphic design, it is not solely about aesthetics; there is a brief moment to capture the audience's attention before they move on to the next thing. If a graphic or headline catches their eye during this short window of time, they will pause to absorb the message.
We must reach our mission field to Christ, to do this our design must be top-notch. When considering the design of your church's materials, it is crucial to understand the impact that visual elements can have on engagement and perception. A well-designed logo, website, flyer, banner, or social media post can grab the attention of both members and potential visitors, conveying professionalism and commitment to the mission of the church (to reach souls for Christ).
The Benefits of Design for Ministries
Using design systematically across your ministry can bring a range of benefits. Evidence shows that ministries that invest in design tend to perform better than those that do not. Some of the benefits of incorporating design into your ministry strategy include:
Increased Reach: Design can help your ministry reach a wider audience and connect with people on a deeper level.
Improved Position in the Community: A well-designed ministry is more likely to be respected and recognized in the community.
Stronger Identity: Good design helps your ministry stand out and differentiate itself from others in the same space.
New Avenues of Outreach: Design can open up new opportunities for ministry outreach and engagement.
The Role of Graphic Design in Ministry
Graphic design goes beyond just the outward appearance of projects and materials. It plays a crucial role in nearly every aspect of what ministries do. From creating a cohesive look across various platforms to enhancing the user experience on websites and other digital assets, design is a powerful tool for ministries to leverage. Make design an integral part of your ministry today and see the positive impact it can have on your outreach, engagement, and overall success. Remember, good design is not just about making things look pretty – it's about creating meaningful connections and experiences that can leave a lasting impression on eternity.
